Job Description

Position Summary Licensed Practical Nurse provides quality nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician or registered nurse in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Access Health Louisiana protocols and standards. Minimum Qualifications Education Current Louisiana LPN license and knowledge of their scope of practice. CPR Certification required. Experience Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in Med-Surg or clinical/hospital settings. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Calm, professional attitude in stressful situations and interactions. High level of ethics in maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent analytical skills to assess and evaluate patient needs and develop and implement a care plan. Handles a multitude of tasks simultaneously. Deal with and/or solves stressful situations. Communicates with patients, physicians, and other staff in verbal and written form. Provides safe and effective nursing care. Maintains professional composure under stress as in emergency situations. Physical and Mental Requirements Stands and walks most of the day. Read gauges, digital read-outs, graphs and educational material, and patient charts in English. (Visual acuity) Ability to move to exam rooms and workspaces. MUST be able to travel to other Access Health Clinics as needed. Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, including pushing and/or pulling. Operate office equipment including telephone, printer, and fax. Ability to operate vehicle if needed for occasional travel to other Access Health Clinics.
OSHA Category I:
Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. "This position offers a 4-day workweek schedule to support work-life balance while maintaining full-time benefits."

Full Time, Days, Mon-Thurs. 8:00am-4:30pm, Fri 8-12pm
