Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a compassionate nursing professional supporting an Out of District male student. Located near Billerica, MA, this full-time position offers the chance to make a significant difference by providing dedicated, 1:1 care during the school year, summer, and potentially into the next academic cycle. This assignment involves approximately 40 hours per week, including both school-day and transportation support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid, active Massachusetts nursing license (LPN or RN required) Experience working in school settings or providing pediatric care is highly desirable Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to provide skilled, individualized care and effectively respond to student medical needs Professional, reliable, and able to collaborate with school teams, families, and transportation staff Previous experience with 1:1 nursing or special needs support is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 nursing care and monitoring for a student throughout the school day and during transportation Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed Maintain up-to-date documentation of care, activities, and any incidents Collaborate with educators, therapists, families, and other support staff to ensure continuity of care Safeguard the student's health and well-being and respond promptly to medical situations Follow all school, district, and state regulations for nursing care in educational settings This role provides the opportunity for consistent, long-term work spanning the remainder of the 25/26 school year, over the summer, and potentially through the 26/27 academic year.
