School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Billerica, Massachusetts Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Billerica, MA Job Details Contract $25 - $50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Family collaboration in education Parent communication Full Job Description Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking an experienced LPN or RN to provide one-on-one nursing support for a male student attending an out-of-district school placement near Billerica, MA. This contract assignment offers consistent hours, support over the summer, and the anticipation of extending into the next academic year. You'll play a pivotal role in the student's educational experience, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the school day and during transportation.
Key Qualifications:
Currently licensed LPN or RN with an active Massachusetts nursing certificate Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Ability to deliver compassionate, individualized care to students with complex needs Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with school staff and families Reliable transportation and willingness to accompany the student daily
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for the assigned student throughout the school day Monitor the student's medical status, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and respond quickly to health emergencies Support transportation to and from the educational setting, ensuring continuity of care Collaborate with educators, therapists, and the student's family to promote optimal health and participation Document care activities in accordance with policies and regulations Commitment to the assignment through the fall semester (ending 12/23/26) with potential to continue through upcoming school years Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, making a meaningful difference for a student who relies on your expertise and compassion.
