Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team at our MIT location. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to patients. We are a patient-centered private allergy, asthma and immunology office. This busy office is all outpatient and provides care for adults and children. This position is Tuesday through Friday. 32-34 hours a week.
Duties:
  • Provide allergy injections
  • Perform allergy procedures such as allergy skin testing, patch testing, oral immunotherapy, food and medication challenges, spirometry
  • Phone triage and patient lab reporting
  • Prescription refills.
  • Administrative tasks may include: PAs.
  • Monitor and record vital signs of patients
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records using electronic systems like ECW.
Qualifications:
  • Valid LPN license in [MA]
  • Previous experience working with individuals in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient in performing vital signs assessments and other basic nursing skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as ECW
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
  • Must have the ability to travel to our 5 other locations if coverage is needed.
