30AM Company Overview The McGahan Center, operated by the Gavin Foundation, provides 24-hour Acute Treatment Services for individuals experiencing withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and other substances. We are a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to "The Restoration of Dignity." Our nursing team plays a key role in safe withdrawal monitoring, medication administration, and evidence-based treatment planning. Job Summary We are seeking a clinically skilled and compassionate ATS Nurse (LPN/RN) to support patients through medically monitored withdrawal management. The ATS nurse provides direct patient care, conducts frequent assessments, monitors withdrawal symptoms, and communicates with medical and clinical staff to ensure safe stabilization. Detox experience preferred, but we welcome and train motivated new graduates. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments upon admission Monitor vital signs, withdrawal scores (CIWA/COWS), and patient progress Administer prescribed medications and document in the EHR Communicate with providers, counselors, and treatment team Provide patient education on medications and recovery supports Maintain documentation, medication administration records, and clinical logs Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures Perform other nursing duties as assigned Qualifications Strong assessment and clinical decisionmaking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize clinical responsibilities in a fastpaced setting Comfortable working with a diverse adult population Education & Experience Nursing degree from an accredited institution (LPN or RN) Valid Massachusetts unrestricted nursing license (required) Experience in detox, behavioral health, or emergency care preferred New graduates encouraged to apply Medical Specialty Addiction Medicine Acute Treatment / Withdrawal Management Residential Nursing License/Certification Valid MA LPN or RN license (Required) Additional Information This role is ideal for nurses who want to make a direct impact on individuals beginning their recovery journey in a supportive and structured clinical environment.
