Westwood, MA Job Details Part-time $39 - $43 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Nursing policy compliance CPR Certification Passenger vehicle BLS Certification Working with pediatric populations Driver's License Full Job Description Constellation Health is seeking a dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to accompany pediatric students on their specialized school transportation, to and from school.
The hours are:
M/T/Th/F 7:50-9:50AM and 2-4PM • Wednesday is 7:50-9:50AM and 12-2PM The transportation is to and from Westwood and Chestnut Hill The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing medication management, direct patient care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide medication administration. Understanding of working with students having complex medical needs, including but not limited to: Emergency Care, Seizure disorder, 02 monitoring, Suctioning, pediatric and/or school-based nursing care and providing skilled nursing support during transportation. Provides direct patient care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act. Implements plan of care initiated by the registered nurse. Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care. Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care. Assists the registered nurse or physician in performing specialized procedures and duties, which include preparing equipment and materials for treatments, observing aseptic technique as required, and assisting the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques. Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently. Participates in personal and professional growth and development. Performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse. The employee has the required licensure, education, training, and qualifications required by rule, regulation, law and/or statute to qualify for the role in their state. Must have experience working with pediatrics with complex medical needs. Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program. Currently licensed as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse in the state. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills. Possesses and maintains CPR certification.(as per state regulations) Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order. #IND1
