• 5pm Meritus Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Wound Care team.

This role supports both inpatient and outpatient wound care services , providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management of complex wounds. The Wound Care Nurse plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization's wound care needs while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans Provide treatment and management of acute, chronic, and complex wounds Support wound care needs across multiple departments within the medical center Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management, prevention, and healing strategies Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care in both inpatient and outpatient settings Assist with coordination of care and documentation in accordance with clinical standards Education

• Graduation from an approved nursing program (ASN required, BSN preferred for RNs) Experience
• Minimum of three years of experience providing medical/surgical nursing care; experience in advanced wound care diagnoses, treatment methods and supplies Licensure/Certification
• Current license to practice in the State of Maryland as an RN or LPN. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; critical thinking and problem solving, effective time management, flexibility in work environment, intermediate computer/keyboard skills, ability to assume responsibilities beyond patient care, Possess the ability to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/department's policies and procedures.

Registered Nurses:
