The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at EHM Senior Solutions is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver personalized care plans and support the overall mission of enhancing the quality of life for seniors.Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medications and perform routine medical procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Monitor residents' health by checking vital signs and observing changes in their condition, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team. Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility, to promote independence and dignity. Document and maintain accurate records of residents' health status, treatments, and progress according to facility protocols. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to residents' needs. Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, addressing concerns and promoting a positive environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with nursing practices and enhance skills. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and effective care environment.Required Education:
Completion of a state-approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. Current and valid LPN license in the State of Michigan.Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a senior care or assisted living environment. Experience in administering medications and monitoring patient responses. Experience in collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of nursing care practices and procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to assess patient health needs and provide appropriate care and interventions. Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
