About the RoleOur client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support owner‑side construction management services for a large‑scale hyperscale data center project.

This role works closely with the client's senior project manager, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders to help oversee and deliver a highly complex, mission‑critical facility. This is a highly visible project‑team position offering substantial opportunity for technical growth, leadership development, and career progression.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport design development, project budgeting, and cost management activitiesReview, verify, and approve vendor pay applications and supporting documentationTrack quantities using timesheets, field data, and physical accounting methodsAssist with reviewing monthly contractor billing and payment applications on behalf of the ownerLead recurring project coordination and progress meetings representing the ownerReview, analyze, and evaluate contractor schedule updates and progress reportsMaintain and oversee cost reports and monthly financial trackingSupport the management of extra work billing, change orders, and claims under the direction of the Project ManagerManage and track design changes and the change‑management processOversee the submittal and RFI process on behalf of the owner's teamPromote and support a safe job site and work environmentQualifications8-10 years of experience in construction management, project engineering, or a related disciplineStrong need for experience on mission‑critical, industrial, or process‑driven facilities, e.g. data centersAbility to prepare, analyze, and clearly communicate cost and revenue projectionsWorking knowledge of local permitting and entitlement processes, with the ability to drive timelinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to understand how individual responsibilities contribute to broader organizational and project goalsProven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clientsDemonstrated relationship‑building skills with peers, leaders, and project stakeholdersCommitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancementReputation for being dependable, detail‑oriented, and thoroughAbility to think creatively and manage complex challenges on fast‑track, schedule‑driven projectsBenefits & PerksMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchEmployer‑paid life insurance and AD&D coverageOptional voluntary life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insuranceEmployee assistance and life support programsPaid time off plus 10 paid holidaysWellness programsTeam events and company culture initiatives
