Immediately Job Description Sparta Area Schools is seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to support students with complex medical needs in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and document student health status and communicate with families and staff as appropriate Collaborate with school staff to support student access to education Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience in pediatric, community health, or school nursing preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and respond effectively in dynamic environments
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting students with specialized health needs such as Diabetes, Seizures, Tracheostomies, G-Tubes, Ventilators, etc. Familiarity with special education processes and documentation Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered care.
Work Schedule & Environment:
Follows the school calendar (no weekends, holidays, or summers unless otherwise noted) Daytime hours aligned with the student schedule Opportunity to work in a collaborative, student-focused environment
