Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part Time Bellevue Hospice Sterling Heights, MI Job Details Part-time From $30 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Medication administration BLS Certification Patient care LPN Critical care experience Full Job Description Bellevue Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide hands-on patient care focused on symptom management, personal care, and comfort measures for hospice patients in their homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. This position is ideal for an LPN who enjoys direct patient care and building meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping improve quality of life during the hospice journey. Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Monitor and report changes in patient condition, pain levels, and symptoms. Assist with symptom management interventions and comfort-focused care. Perform personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance as needed. Assist with medication reminders and observe medication effectiveness. Obtain and document vital signs and patient assessments. Educate patients and families on comfort measures and disease progression. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure continuity of care. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR. Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and safety at all times. Qualifications Current Michigan Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing. Hospice, home health, long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong assessment and observation skills. Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
