This position plays a key role in promoting healing, preventing complications, and maintaining clinical standards within a long-term care environment. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care and wound treatment services in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans. Monitor and assess residents for skin integrity concerns and implement preventative interventions. Support residents with chronic wounds, pressure injuries, and other skin-related conditions. Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care and treatment plans. Supervise and guide nursing assistants and support staff during assigned shifts. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update resident records as required. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge documentation. Promote infection prevention and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Participate in staff education, orientation, and ongoing training initiatives. Communicate resident status updates and shift reports effectively with team members. Perform additional clinical duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Michigan. Current CPR certification. Previous wound care or long-term care experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of infection control procedures and nursing best practices. Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn clinical software systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday. Ability to safely perform resident care duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
