Job Description
SCOPE The Licensed Nurse works under the guidance of the Director of Nursing to coordinate, provide & supervise/monitor optimal resident care. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission by providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You are essential for providing person-centered resident care and providing a ministry of gentle service!
- Per Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines, must have successful passing of background screening.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Resident Cares Participate in resident admissions, transfers, and discharge processes Administer & document direct care, medications & treatments per physican's order & accurately record care provided Participate in the development, review, & implementation of resident care plans. Coordinate & evaluate all direct resident care & intiate corrective action as necessary Conduct daily resident rounds, reporting any issues that may arise to Director of Nursing, exercising independent judgement on situations should an immediate change need to be made Participate in resident care conferences as needed Receive & transcribe physician orders Accompany physician on rounds Actively participate in shift reports Resident Health/Safety Order, receive & store resident medication appropriately Monitor residents for effectiveness of drug therapy and occurrence of adverse effects & document findings Notify physicians, when necessary, of significant changes in residents' conditions. Identify & report any potential or current hazards immediately to the appropriate personnel. Leadership/Management Review daily schedule, ensuring adequate staffing for resident cares as needed. As RN- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants & Trained Medication Aides, ensuring procedures & cares are being followed accordingly. As LPN
- Monitor Certified Nursing Assistants & Trained Medication Aides, ensuring procedures & cares are being followed accordingly Serve as resource for nursing staff for any questions relating to resident cares Coach team on acceptable workplace behaviors & following policies/procedures Other Demonstrate positive working relationships with coworkers and other departments.

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to walk, handle & feel objects, reach with hands & arms, reach above arm level, communicate effectively & efficiently in person & on the phone. In addition, the physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Ability to carry up to 35 pounds Ability to frequently bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and push/pull up to 20 pounds Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Hearing abilities required include ability to hear alarms & resident verbal direction of needs. Ability to perform warm up stretches prior to shift Follow standard precautions & infection control practices Report any work or non-work related injury immediatelyEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Minnesota Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience in long-term care, preferred
- Ability to maintain confidential information & work with a diverse population
- Ability to read & comprehend verbal & written instructions
- Ability to operate a computer & complete required training within the training program
- Ability to use
