This contract opportunity is perfect for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) interested in supporting a vibrant school community just one day per week.
Key Qualifications:
Current LPN/LVN licensure required Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and respond to diverse student health needs Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification
Core Responsibilities:
Provide general nursing care and first aid to students and staff in the school health office Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school protocols Monitor and document student health concerns, communicating with parents/guardians as needed Support students with chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, asthma, or allergies Collaborate with school personnel to promote a healthy and safe environment Maintain accurate and confidential health records This role is part-time, with a schedule of one day per week from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., making it ideal for those seeking work-life balance or additional hours to complement other employment.
