Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a District Float Nurse, supporting student health and well-being across multiple schools in the Blue Springs, MO area. Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized nursing care to diverse student populations, collaborating with school staff, and responding to a variety of healthcare needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid LPN or LVN license in Missouri (active and in good standing) Previous experience with vents, tracheostomy care, and g-tube management required Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to varying environments Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, faculty, and families Team-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively while working across schools
Primary Responsibilities:
Float between schools within the district to provide nursing coverage and support as needed Administer skilled nursing interventions, including care for students with ventilators, trachs, and g-tubes Respond promptly to student health emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating care Support individualized healthcare plans and collaborate with staff and parents Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with school and state regulations Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and safety practices as needed A contract role such as this offers the unique chance to make a difference across the entire district.
