Job Description
Mercy is seeking a compassionate Practice Nurse LPN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, including assessments, vital signs, injections, wound care, and patient education in a busy clinical setting. You'll support providers during exams and procedures, document accurately in the EHR, and uphold infection control and safety standards. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including vital signs, injections, wound care, and point-of-care testing under provider supervision. Collect patient histories, document in the EHR, and assist with care plans and patient education. Prepare exam rooms, maintain infection control standards, and manage supplies and equipment. Administer medications per protocol and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Coordinate patient flow, scheduling support, and follow-up communications to ensure timely, compassionate care. Support providers during exams and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow Mercy clinical protocols and policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and care transitions.
