RN/LPN Emergency Department

Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring Registered Nurse/License Practical Nurse in the Emergency Dept. The staff RN/LPN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility for a group of patient/residents for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients/residents via therapeutic utilization of the Nursing process in accordance with the standards of care and Policies/procedures as established by Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Must be a RN/LPN in good standing and currently licensed by the State or multistate.

Training and Experience:

Must be Registered Nurse/ License Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State. Maintain current CPR Certification. Maintain proficiency in Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Emergency, Cardiovascular Care or Surgical Nursing as is applicable for the unit that is worked the majority of the time.

Job Knowledge:

Knowledge of the nursing process, general nursing theory, and practice such as: biological, physical, social, and medical science and their application. Thorough knowledge of principle, Methods and techniques involved in performing general nursing services and adapting or modifying standard nursing. Physical/Emotional stamina Communication/writing skills Interpersonal skills Meets specific departmental criteria and/or certification Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of constant walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling heavy objects
