Job Description:
Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for administering medications, monitoring resident conditions, and ensuring quality care that promotes resident safety, comfort, and dignity.
PAY RATE
$35
  • 40 Essential Duties & Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to RN or physician Perform routine nursing care, including wound care and treatments Accurately document care, medications, and observations Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs and Nursing Assistants Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations Maintain infection control and safety standards Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team Provide compassionate, resident-centered care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program Current, active LPN license in the state of employment Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required Strong clinical and critical thinking skills Certifications (Required/Preferred) Active LPN license CPR certification (required or preferred per facility) Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to lift/move residents (50+ lbs with assistance) Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations Work Environment Long-term care / skilled nursing facility Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and medical conditions May require weekends, holidays, and various shifts (days, nights, weekends) Key Skills Medication administration and clinical skills Leadership and supervision Attention to detail Communication and teamwork Time management and organization
