Job Description
Housing offered for third shift! 12 and 8 hour shift options!
•Shift Differential offered for third shift and weekends
• The RN or LPN is delegated the responsibility to ensure the delivery of compassionate care for assigned residents during his/her shift. He/she is to follow the directions of the Director of Nursing or Nursing or Nurse Supervisor and to report any changes in the resident's condition to DON, physician and family immediately.
Performance requirements are as follows:
Makes rounds to observe and evaluate each resident's status and take appropriate action. Administers medications and treatments per physician's orders. Transcribes physicians' orders by standard nursing protocol. Complete all required documentation and incident reports as needed. Provide and supervise nutritional intake of residents (tube feedings, diets, & supplements). Reviews and makes adjustments to nursing care plans. Completes documentation each shift per regulations. Supervises C.N.A.s' performance, reporting any areas of concern to DON either verbally or in writing. (If the DON is away from the facility, she should only be notified if immediate action is needed.) Respond to call bells as needed. Respect resident confidentiality & ensure all residents' rights are protected. Ensure resident and staff safety by reporting unsafe equipment of safety hazards immediately. Qualifications Valid RN or LPN license Proficient in patient care and assessment Experience with catheterization and tube feeding Knowledge of EHR systems and care plans Basic life support certification Familiarity with residents' rights and long-term care practices Strong understanding of physiology and airway management Summary As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring residents' rights are upheld. Reporting to the nursing supervisor, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing care plans, performing tube feeding, and conducting patient assessments. Your core skills in catheterization, IV insertion, and basic life support will be essential, while your premium experience in critical care and familiarity with EHR systems like Epic will enhance our team's capabilities.
