Job Description

Corrections ADATC:
The facility is a 64-bed residential treatment facility that provides substance use disorder treatment services to probationers sent by the courts and parolees released from the state prison system and transitioning back into the community. Located in the beautiful mountains of western NC, the serene setting offers a comforting start to the recovery journey. The clinical team embraces evidence-based practice design and provides a multidisciplinary approach, focusing on group and individual therapy and substance use disorder education. Specifics Corrections ADATC (Adult Drug and Treatment Center) Renewable assignments Must attend HERO training Must have DAC experience (Department of Corrections) Ask your TAS about available shifts and times Description of Work Conduct patient sick calls weekly Assist the physician with sick calls as directed Use approved facility protocols to treat minor injuries and illnesses that do not require physician attention Prepare and administer medications as per the physician's order Refer patients to physicians' clinics or hospitals as appropriate Maintain stock and supplies in a neat, secure, and orderly manner Maintain adequate inventory of drugs and medical supplies Prepare medical records, medications, and information for transferring patients Ensure that all treatments and medications are fully documented in the patient's health record Other duties as assigned Requirements Active/Clear Licensure by the NC State Board of Nursing Minimum 1-year clinical experience Direct care experience within the previous year Must have DAC experience (Department of Corrections) Clinical/corrections experience preferred but not mandatory Active/Clear CPR and CPI, or NCI ( American Heart Association ) Physical activity requirements include climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing.
