Excellent Training Competitive Pay and Benefits Position Description:
The Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) develops and implements job skills training, in-service education, orientation and onboarding or new staff. The purpose of the role is to assure our building is a great place to work and receive care by making certain our staff are welcomed, competent, and supported in their development. Our SDC is a key contributor to workplace culture, promoting and upholding our organizational values.
What you will do:
Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment. Work cooperatively with the Administrator and Director of Nursing in assessing educational needs and plan programs to meet these needs and regulatory requirements. Monitor certification and license status and renewals. Administer TB and Hepatitis B vaccines. Conduct new hire orientation.
What you need:
Registered Nurse with required NC. Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a health care setting; long-term care setting preferred. Must have a current/active CPR certification. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
