Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students with individualized medical needs in a welcoming school environment near Manchester, NH. This is a full-time, contract opportunity ideal for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who are passionate about working 1:1 with students to support their health, learning, and independence. Multiple openings are available, each providing the chance to build a meaningful connection with a single student. Assignments may include some bus riding to ensure safe transportation and continuity of care throughout the school day. Open caseloads offer a variety of experiences, and your preferences and areas of comfort will help match you to the best student fit.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Active LPN license in good standing School nursing experience or strong interest in pediatric care, especially in educational settings Comfort with, or openness to learning about, specialized care such as: tracheostomy (trach), G-tube, ventilator, seizure management, diabetic care, toileting assistance, bus riding, and academic support during the school day Compassionate communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized nursing care and interventions per student care plan Assist with documentation and health-related paperwork as needed Support students in classroom participation and daily activities, including personal and medical needs Ride the bus with students if required, ensuring safety and comfort while in transit Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the larger educational team This role allows you to make a lasting impact, supporting inclusive educational experiences while developing specialized skills in school nursing.
