Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract A unique opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a student with medical needs during the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by working with a medically intensive student, providing essential care and assistance during van transportation to and from out-of-district schools in the Merrimack, NH area. The student requires specialized support due to mobility challenges, and your expertise can make each school day comfortable and safe.
Key Qualifications:
Current LPN or LVN license valid in New Hampshire Previous experience in school settings or pediatric care preferred Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individual student needs Reliable transportation and punctuality Ability to work independently and within guidelines outlined by school staff Strong communication skills with students, families, and team members
Primary Responsibilities:
Accompany a medically intensive student during van rides to out-of-district schools Assist with student mobility and ensure safety throughout transportation Monitor the student's health, provide necessary medical interventions, and document care as required Collaborate with school personnel and healthcare providers to maintain consistent, high-quality support Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student well-being
