School Nurse (RN/LPN) - Bus Transport Elizabeth, NJ Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Per diem $55 an hour 5 days ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Referral program Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification CPR Full Job Description Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in Elizabeth, NJ to work with special needs students in a 1:1 capacity during their transportation to and from school on the school bus. $55/hr. incentivized per diem pay rate Flexible scheduling Perfect for nurses seeking supplemental income or work-life balance The assignment would be both AM and PM bus rides with the student. Each bus ride will take a minimum of 2 hours no matter the time it takes. Bus Transport Responsibilities The nurse will be responsible for meeting the parent/student at the student's home and ride the bus to school. Provide comprehensive medical assessment according to nursing practice standards. Monitor and administer medication(s) and give treatment(s) if needed. Respond to and assess emergency health needs of students. Ensure the safety of the child. Documentation of daily activity Ability to assist in case of an emergency.

Requirements:

Must have one year of professional experience as a nurse. Active CPR card Experience with seizure precautions is required. Pediatric and/or 1:1 experience (a plus!)
