Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care in an assisted living community. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive personalized treatment, comfort, and support while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through skilled nursing and compassionate care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation. Administer medications Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile dressing changes while adhering to aseptic techniques. Monitor patients' conditions closely, manage acute pain, and provide emergency interventions as needed. Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10). Support infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives to uphold safety standards across all patient care activities. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning. Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration (including injections), phlebotomy, and catheter care with sterile technique. Ability to perform physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and wound suturing when necessary. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education—including health coaching—and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of infection control practices and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA standards.

From $35.00 per hour
