You will work directly with our MOHS Micrographic Surgeon , traveling between our offices in Edison, Somerset, and Robbinsville . This position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants. Prior MOHS or dermatology experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate who has strong clinical instincts and a passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities Surgeon Support:
Follow the MOHS surgeon throughout the clinic day to assist with specialized skin cancer removal procedures.
Surgical Assisting:
Assist in the operating room with sterile field maintenance, instrument passing, and localized anesthesia preparation.
Patient Care:
Prepare patients for surgery, explain the MOHS procedure, and answer pre- and post-operative questions.
Wound Care & Dressing:
Apply surgical dressings, provide clear wound care education, and perform suture removals.
Lab Liaison:
Coordinate with the on-site histology lab regarding tissue specimens and processing stages.
Administrative Duties:
Document detailed surgical notes accurately in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Position Requirements License:
Active, unrestricted New Jersey LPN license.
Travel:
Reliable transportation to rotate between Edison, Somerset, and Robbinsville clinics.
Availability:
Flexible to accommodate surgical clinic days (open to full-time or part-time tracks).
Experience:
Previous surgical or dermatology experience preferred, but not required (comprehensive training provided).
Skills:
Exceptional communication, strong multitasking abilities, and strict adherence to sterile techniques.
