Job Description
Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation -Location Socorro New Mexico Full-Time Join Our Leadership Team! Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically strong Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. We are looking for either an RN or LPN with skilled nursing experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while supporting and developing our nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse leader who enjoys mentoring staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and making a positive impact on resident outcomes. What You'll Do Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations. Provide leadership and support to licensed nurses and nursing assistants. Assist with staffing, scheduling, and clinical supervision. Conduct rounds to ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance. Support survey readiness and assist with state and federal survey activities. Investigate incidents, monitor clinical outcomes, and implement corrective actions when needed. Assist with infection prevention, QAPI initiatives, and performance improvement projects. Mentor, coach, and educate nursing staff to promote professional growth. Help ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with facility policies. Participate in the on-call rotation with the nursing leadership team. Qualifications Current New Mexico RN or LPN license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Previous charge nurse, unit manager, or supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care standards. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
