Job Description

LPN Job Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role focuses on providing direct patient care and supporting physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff in a primary care/health center setting.
Main Responsibilities:
Take patients' vital signs, height, and weight. Draw blood and collect/process urine and other lab specimens. Perform EKGs as ordered. Assist physicians and NPs/PAs with patient care and gynecology procedures, including Pap testing. Administer/support medication and treatment processes, including obtaining prescription authorizations. Triage patient phone calls and follow up on labs, X-rays, and other testing. Maintain accurate medical records, lab logs, and documentation. Prepare, clean, and sterilize examination rooms and medical instruments. Schedule and confirm appointments and help manage the daily clinic workflow. Educate patients about procedures, self-care, and health/wellness. Maintain medical supplies, inventory, and emergency equipment. Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and agency policies. Participate in monthly Infection Control Committee meetings.
Requirements:
New York State LPN license. CPR certification. Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience. Some related experience or training preferred.

Schedule:
