Job Description

We Staff Healthcare LLC is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Resident Escort (HHA Certified) to join our team at Peninsula Nursing & Rehab , a skilled nursing facility. If you enjoy assisting residents and making a meaningful impact in their daily lives, we would love to hear from you!
Shifts Available:
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sunday-Thursday shift) •Every other weekend availability is required Responsibilities of a
Resident Escort:
Safely escort residents to and from appointments, therapy sessions, activities, and other areas within the facility Assist residents with ambulation and wheelchair transport as needed Provide support to residents in a manner that promotes safety, dignity, and comfort Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding residents' needs Follow all facility, Federal, and State regulations Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
Valid New York State HHA Certification Up-to-date physical within the last year Long-term care facility experience preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to assist residents safely with mobility and transport
Skills and Specifications:
The RE needs to have excellent people skills as he/she has to meet and talk to people on regular basis. The RE should be regular about attendance and other record-keeping as determined by the facility. The RE should be adept to transportation of Residents` to hospitals, doctors` offices and clinics and should have good knowledge of city's locations and modes of transportation utilized. The RE should be ready to work flexible hours and at odd timings as well. If there are time constraints related to your day`s activities then you should make your supervisor aware and another RE may need to be assigned.
