LPN Staff AC Employment - 2.8 Mount Vernon, NY Job Details $39.55 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification High school diploma or GED LPN Full Job Description The LPN Assisted Living is a key player in our Resident Care Team. They assists our residents by administering medication and performing routine nursing care and related duties as required.
Responsibilities :
Administers medications to assigned residents according to professional standards, facility policy, and physician's orders. Documents response to medication and medication effectiveness as required. Ensures the medication cart is cleaned and stocked daily with paper supplies. Ensures medication orders are picked up and medication is ordered from the pharmacy and delivered in a timely manner. Performs nursing procedures/treatments to assigned residents according to professional standards, facility policy and physicians orders. Documents response and effectiveness of treatments. Includes vital sign, specimen, and weight collections. Communicates accurate, up-to-date information to Resident Care Assistants and Memory Care Partners. Provides direction, feedback, and assistance to RCAs and MCPs as needed. Produces timely accurate and legally compliant documentation of residents' status, changes, and observations in resident chart and communication book. Educates resident/family members regarding plan of care, medications, procedures and treatments, and participates in Family Meetings as necessary. Provides continual monitoring of resident's physical, social, and mental status. Promptly reports changes and concerns to LPN Manager. Maintains and develops work-related knowledge and skills through continuous learning activities, attendance at in-services and workshops, etc. Completes special projects/tasks in support of effective department functioning as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Experience 2 years professional nursing experience previous experience working with senior population experience in Assisted Living is preferred Education High School Diploma/GED Current NYS LPN licensure Current CPR certification
