license. 8 Hour Night Shift Positions Available Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following prescribed protocols while maintaining sterile techniques. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures. Manage airway care, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator support for patients requiring specialized respiratory assistance. Provide wound care, suturing assistance, and support for complex procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterizations. Support discharge planning by educating patients and families on medication management, post-acute care instructions, and home health needs. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure all documentation reflects current patient status. Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans. Participate in infection control practices and uphold clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Respond promptly to emergencies such as acute pain episodes or airway obstructions with appropriate first aid or advanced interventions. Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the respective state or region. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (especially ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home health settings. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) such as Epic or Cerner. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medication administration protocols. Experience working with special populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions like Alzheimer's disease. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, triage procedures, pain management, and infection control practices. Ability to perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and sterile dressing changes. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver communication and client education. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, sterile technique training, or advanced skills like ventilator management are preferred.
