Job Description
Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Frank R. Laurri, MDAssociates, PC is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team! We are a fast-paced primary care practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to our adult patients at our Niagara Falls and Clarence locations. The LPN will utilize clinical knowledge, organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to support our providers and ensure an excellent patient experience. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing duties within the LPN scope of practice, including case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and supportive and restorative care under the direction of a licensed medical provider. Provide direct patient care, including administration of medications, vaccines, injections, and prescribed treatments. Perform immunizations, injections, urinalysis, CLIA-waived testing, and other minor laboratory procedures while ensuring testing and documentation are accurate, current, and compliant. Demonstrate proper placement, reading, and documentation of PPD tests. Communicate plans of care to patients as directed by providers, including test results, treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up recommendations. Provide appropriate patient education based on diagnoses, treatment plans, and provider recommendations. Process electronic prescription refill requests and communicate with pharmacies as needed. Assist with telephone coverage and patient triage as needed or requested. Provide patient portal triage and respond appropriately to medical refill requests and patient communications. Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and diagnostic testing when applicable. Enter and maintain vaccine records electronically in accordance with applicable regulations and practice requirements. Utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system for accurate, timely, and complete documentation and communication with patients and providers. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements and all applicable laws and regulations. Comply with all practice policies, procedures, standards of conduct, and quality-of-care requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the RN Nurse Manager, providers, or management. RequirementsQualifications Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program. Current New York State LPN license required. Strong clinical and patient-care skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced primary care environment. Professional, dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care. Primary care experience preferred. Experience with Medent EMR is helpful. Compensation $27.50-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
