Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Mental Health Department, you'll provide compassionate care to individuals with mental illnesses. You will work with patients and their families to meet their mental health needs and deliver personalized care. Your duties will include recording findings, documenting changes in a patient's condition, and promptly reporting these to the Registered Nurse. You will also collaborate with the team to ensure positive patient outcomes, provide a wide range of medical aid, and administer medication education and counseling. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be an active member of the Code Orange Team. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid NYS LPN license BLS certification preferred Crisis Intervention Training within the hospital orientation period. Prior experience in Mental Health preferred. Basic computer knowledge. Proficient communication skills and the ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities. Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring and documenting information. Ability to implement and support procedures and programs related to patient safety and security. Ability to perform various intervention tasks as assigned by the charge nurse. Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients. Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all patient information. Commitment to maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies. Ability to perform physical requirements including bending, lifting, standing, and walking.- The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.
