Job Description

Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatric healthcare team in downtown Plattsburgh. As an LPN at Plattsburgh Primary Care Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the overall management of patient needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about nursing and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications, including injections, as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
  • Assist with patient assessments and provide basic medical care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and collect samples for medical testing
  • Assist with medical procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on various health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting as an LPN
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in administering medications, including injections
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures
  • Experience in acute care settings and triage is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
