You will have responsibilities including but not limited to: Provide direct nursing care to clients under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician. Maintain patient confidentiality and conduct in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures. Supervise unlicensed assistive persona; (e.g. CNA, Medical assistant, medical technician). Conduct routine nursing procedures such as EKGs, wound care, specimen collection & more. Administer prescribed medications, including oral, topical, and injectable forms (IM, Sub-Q, intradermal) in accordance with NYS scope of practice and facility policies. Perform and document vital signs, weight, and other clinical assessments to monitor patient condition and report significant findings to supervising clinicians. Observe and promptly report changes in patient behavior, appearance, or health status to the RN or provider. Provide health education and reinforce treatment plans, medication adherence, and self-care strategies as directed by supervising clinicians.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED Graduate from an accredited nursing programLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse First Aid Training CPR Training Narcan Training Infection Control Certification Child Abuse CertificationREQUIRED EXPERIENCE
At least three years related experience Qualified by training, education, and experience in providing nursing care for chemically addicted patients and patients withdrawing from alcohol and or drugsCOMPETENCIES

This job operates in an indoor medical clinical environment. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Appropriate gloves required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
