The private duty licensed practical nurse ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care services by utilizing basic nursing skills and the nursing process. As a member of the health care team, the licensed practical nurse assists in the provision of home care services that reflect the Children's Home Care of Dayton philosophy and standards of home health and nursing care of clients. The home care licensed practical nurse works closely with the Private Duty Manager, agency staff, referring physicians and other health care professionals in providing skilled, professional nursing care. Nursing experience in the area of acute care, nursing home, general pediatrics or neonatology or current pediatric home care experience. Professional certification within 3 years of hire. Possesses and maintains a current CPR card Certification by State of Ohio Practical Nursing Board and current pharmacology card. This position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver's license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital's insurance policy.Department Specific Job Details:
Dayton Children's Home Care provides pediatric home care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to children in 22 counties. We offer a wide variety of services from caring for children with long term chronic illnesses, premature births, education on safe equipment usage and prevention of diseases, to caring for short term recovery from injuries and hospitalizations. 4 Days per week (M-F), 8am-5pm approx.Benefits
