Job Description

Job Summary Nina's Home Healthcare is hiring an LPN for a Private Duty Pediatrics case in Delaware, Ohio. This will be a 12-hour shift. We are looking for someone who is experienced and reliable for this case. Here is our office address 6455 East Livingston Ave Suite D Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating patient conditions to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy. Manage catheterization procedures, tube feedings, and ventilator support to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety. Document all patient interactions clearly and thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection/processing, medical imaging coordination, and laboratory testing. Support patients with complex needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, providing critical nursing interventions in emergency medicine or hospital medicine environments. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification to practice. Proven experience in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and nursing procedures including venipuncture, sterile technique, and aseptic practices. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs measurement and physical examinations. Ability to perform specialized tasks such as IV insertion/insertion management, catheter care, and pain management strategies for acute or chronic conditions. Excellent communication skills to effectively triage patient needs and coordinate with healthcare teams across emergency room experience or urgent care settings. Knowledge of infection control standards and experience working with infectious disease care protocols. Additional preferred experience includes working with pediatric populations (neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), or post-acute care environments.
