• (for FT hires only, conditions apply) Paid training PTO (accrual after 30 days) Benefits after 90 days With the support of the Director of Nursing and Medical Director, as the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) FT Days (6a-6p) North Royalton, you will provide person-centered care and medical treatment that could include medication administration, feeding tubes, foley catheters, wound care, breathing treatments, insulin-dependent diabetics, and supervising DSPs to assist with daily needs. Valid/current licensure of the Ohio State Board of Nursing without restrictions Current CPR and Certification in First Aide Background check will be completed upon hire Reliable transportation Proof of auto insurance (if applicable) Social security card Positive attitude A minimum of one year of LPN experience Essential Duties & Responsibilities for LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) FT Days (6a-6p)
North Royalton:
Provide direct care and medical treatment to the individuals in order to meet their needs utilizing person-centered approach to assist the individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life. Provide care to some individuals who have gastroenteral feeding tubes, foley catheters, wound care, breathing treatments, and insulin dependent diabetics. Supervise the Direct Support Professionals who are responsible for assisting individuals with their daily needs that include all aspects of personal hygiene care (toileting, bathing, ADLs) and feeding. Also engage in constant communication amongst all staff members to ensure continuity of care. Carry out required nursing functions including medication administration, wound care, assessment of acute residents, respond appropriately to crisis situations, perform thorough nurse documentation, ensure the safety and well being of all residents, communication with Director of Nursing and Medical Director involving any changes in the medical status of residents, communicate with management team, maintain positive relationships involving family members, guardians, medical providers, and the community Physical Requirements Due to the physical limitations of the individuals that we serve, this position requires all staff members to be able to lift the individuals with the assistance of coworkers. All staff must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations such as fire drills and evacuations, unstable weather drills and ensuring individual safety at all times.
