Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with activities of daily living. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, procedures, and treatments, including sterile techniques and catheterization. Manage IV infusions and medication administration with precision, adhering to safety protocols and infection control policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with diverse medical needs. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-discharge care instructions. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care regulations. Support triage processes by assessing patient symptoms, prioritizing urgent cases, and facilitating appropriate interventions. Assist with specimen collection, processing, and documentation for laboratory testing as required. Contribute to maintaining a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and emergency protocols such as CPR and first aid. Requirements Valid LPN license in good standing; previous experience in medical-surgical nursing is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Critical care experience or acute care experience within hospital settings is desirable; ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience is a plus. Familiarity with

coding, medical terminology, and physiology knowledge for effective patient assessment. Experience working with geriatric patients, including those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care, or hospice services. Ability to perform IV insertion, catheter care, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and medication administration competently. Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and client education across diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile processing techniques, and aseptic procedures essential for safe patient handling. Certification in basic life support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous. Flexibility to work various shifts in inpatient settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities; travel nursing experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
