Full Job Description Overview :
We are looking for LPNs that are willing to care for Veterans with complex health conditions at the HJ Heinz Campus, located in Aspinwall, PA.
Salary:
$23.6/hr•$40.3/hr ($49,090•83,862 per year) Great pay and benefits, free on-site parking, educational opportunities; 13-26 days of vacation leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year
Duties :
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following prescribed protocols while ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist Veterans with ADLs Monitor patients' conditions closely, manage pain, and inform the charge nurse regarding any changes in condition Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans Assess life-threatening conditions and assist with CPR and/or other interventions Perform escort and sitter duties based upon the care needs of the Veteran.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, rotating tours to include nights, weekends and holidays
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and proficient in written and spoken English Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia.
Education :
Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)] at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Health care education in the military service or training in the military service which is accepted by the licensing body in the jurisdiction in which the individual is licensed as qualifying for full LPN/LVN licensure will be accepted as meeting the education requirements for VHA employment.
