Job Description

A nonprofit organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is seeking LPNs to join their residential ICF campus in Shoreham, NY. This role will support medically frail adults in an OPWDD setting and is a strong fit for nurses looking for overnight, evening, weekend, or supplemental shifts.
Available Shifts:
Overnight:
10:00 PM - 6:30
AM Evening:
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Weekend/Sunday availability is especially helpful Candidates do not need to cover every open shift. The organization is open to multiple nurses helping cover the schedule based on availability.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a residential ICF setting Administer medications and treatments as ordered Monitor individuals for changes in condition and respond appropriately Support individuals with medical needs that may include G-tubes/feeding tubes, seizure disorders, high blood pressure, and aging-related needs Complete required nursing documentation Communicate medical updates to the appropriate team members Follow OPWDD, DOH, agency, and program policies/procedures Maintain infection control and safety standards Participate in onsite training and shadowing as needed Qualifications Active NYS LPN license Newer nurses may be considered if eager to learn and comfortable with the population Comfortable working with medically frail adults
