Job Description

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support their Magee Women's Specialty - Horizon office in Farrell, PA! We are a busy OB/GYN office seeking a dedicated LPN to support comprehensive women's health services, including prenatal care, routine exams, and patient education. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting women at all stages of life. This position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This position will be responsible for Telephone triage, results, giving injections, and NOB intakes. The ideal candidate will have good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy, fast-paced practice.
Sign-On Bonus Details:
• $7,500 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience • $5,000 sign-on bonus available for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience What Can You Bring to UPMC? Responsibilities:
Draw blood. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e.
OSHA, CLIA, PA
Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
