Vaccinator Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Seasonal Main focus-Pharmacy-Based Vaccine Clinics Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports pharmacy-based clinical services by assisting with seasonal vaccine clinics out in the community, seasonal need primarily the months of September and October. Key Responsibilities Immunization Clinic & Immunization Support Assist with the setup, workflow, and operation of pharmacy-based seasonal vaccine clinics. Administer vaccinations at clinics independently or with the assistance of pharmacy staff as needed. Clinics are often held off site at schools, senior centers, senior living facilities, private employers and businesses. Screen patients for vaccine eligibility, contraindications, and on patient consent forms prior to administering. Monitor patients post-vaccination and respond appropriately to adverse reactions if needed. Maintain accurate immunization documentation including manufacturer, lot, expiration, ROA, volume, VIS distribution. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and vaccine storage guidelines Qualifications Required Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to perform vaccination methods Ability to prepare and handle vaccines Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Knowledge of medication safety and infection control practices Work Environment Pharmacy or clinic-based setting May involve standing for extended periods and direct patient interaction Seasonal or temporary extended hours during vaccine season
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
