We are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents through a variety of services including Independent Living, Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. We have a standard of senior care in the area for over 60 years! We are looking to expand our team with people who are dedicated to providing quality care to our residents. As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Pickering Manor, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to our senior residents. This position is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents while supporting their daily health needs. We are recruiting a candidate who is interested in in a part-time capacity. You would be working four days in a 14 day pay period, We have openings in our Skilled Nursing units for nights (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.). In our Supportive Living units, we have openings for our day (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), evening (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) and night (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) shifts. We offer a shift differential of $3.00 for working evenings and of $2.50 for working the nights. Part-Time employees also start accruing Paid Time Off (PTO) on their first day of employment. Your job responsibilities would be as follows: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Assist with daily living activities and support residents' personal hygiene needs. Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Experience in dementia care is highly preferred. Strong skills in IV insertion and infusion techniques desired. Candidates should have excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and families and compassionate attitude towards elderly care with a focus on enhancing quality of life.
