Apply Now UPMC's Venango Internal Medicine is seeking an LPN to join their team! This full-time position will work Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm. No holidays, evenings or weekends are required. This position works closely with physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver the highest quality care to our patients. Responsibilities include answering telephone calls promptly, responding to patient messages, communicating effectively with team members, faxing documents, and completing a variety of clinical tasks. The role also includes rooming patients, preparing them for their visits, and supporting daily office operations to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus of $7,500 for experienced nurses and $5,000 for new graduates, with a 2-year commitment to UPMC.
Responsibilities:
Draw blood. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e.OSHA, CLIA, PA
Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year clinical experience preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal •Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
