Job Description

Office Nurse:
Medical Assistant/LPN/RN - Must be
Certified or Licensed Purpose of Job:
The Office Nurse enjoys working in an office setting, can manage the fast pace of Family Practice, and is interested in enhancing the patient experience within our offices. Job duties include, but are not limited to, patient intake, recording vital signs and the patients' reason for visit, addressing patient care gaps within established standards of care, administering vaccines, and helping patients coordinate care. Additional duties of advanced candidates may include prior authorizations for prescription medications and advanced imaging studies, medical supply and vaccine supply management, training students, triage incoming telephone calls, telephonic nursing, episodic care management, and chronic care management.
Essential Functions:
Direct patient care Collect vital signs and escort patients to an exam room Review and verify medications with patients Administer vaccines and other injectables Perform testing as needed (EKG, Point of Care testing) Provide patient education as directed by the provider team Document patient information in the electronic health record Manage the patient experience while the patient is receiving care.
Education:
Associates degree in nursing Bachelor's degree in nursing Active unrestricted nursing license in PA required
Certified Medical Assistant Experience:
None required, willing to train as long as candidate is licensed in
PA Other Skills:
Computer skills required Proficient in medical terminology
Hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays:
7am-5pm with lunch break
No Wednesdays Saturdays:
PRN 39.5
