Our focus includes arthroscopic surgery, fractures, foot and ankle disorders, general orthopaedics, hand disorders, occupational medicine, sports medicine, traumatic injuries, and total joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Overview We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically knowledgeable LPN to joint our orthopaedic practice as a Phone Triage Nurse. The LPN serves as an important point of contact for our patients, providing timely clinical support by telephone and electrionically through EMR. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judegment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced orthopaedic office. 40 Hr. Work Week | Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m .- 5:00 p.m. Duties Triage patient calls and electronic messages, assess concerns, and escalate urgent or complex issues appropriately. Coordinate medications, prescription refills, referrals, imaging, testing, and other clinical orders for provider review. Communicate provider recommendations, test/imaging results, medication instructions, and follow-up plans to patients. Coordinate referrals, outside medical records, radiology images, and communication with hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities. Manage patient forms, work/school notes, restrictions, authorizations, and other clinical documentation. Route clinical and administrative messages to the appropriate staff or provider and ensure timely follow-up. Document patient communications, orders, and follow-up accurately in EPIC. Support administrative staff with prioritization of patient calls and messages. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies. Perform other duties within the LPN scope of practice as assigned. Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state certification. Proven experience in a medical office, orthopaedic practice, or other healthcare setting Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong customer serivce skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to work independently and collaboratively while providing cross-coverage for clinical and administrative team members as needed
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
