As a valued LPN/LVN, you will collaborate with the dedicated school nurse to ensure student well-being, offering both routine and specialized care throughout the academic year. Key Qualifications:
Active LPN or LVN license required Proven experience in a school or pediatric healthcare environment preferred Ability to respond quickly to the changing needs of students Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with children Comfortable assisting with diabetes care and performing basic medical procedures Flexible and adaptive to serve in a substitute 1:1 or PCA support capacity as neededPosition Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on daily medical support to the school nurse at Lincoln Elementary, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm Deliver care for students with immediate health concerns or chronic conditions Step in as substitute 1:1 or PCA staff for two students when required, ensuring continuity of care and supervision Assist with diabetic care under the supervision of the school nurse Record and document all care provided in accordance with school and healthcare guidelines This is an ongoing assignment starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of May 2027, offering stability and a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours.
