School Nurse (RN or LPN) The Brandywine Heights Area School District is committed to excellence! We serve nearly 1,250 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade at three school sites in Berks County, PA. The employees of Brandywine Heights Area School District play an important role in providing our students with a well-rounded educational foundation that supports their academic, physical, and social emotional growth. Looking for an experienced and flexible Full Time School Nurse. The School Nurse functions as a member of the health-care team by exercising sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, skills, understandings and experiences in nursing situations under the direction of a certified licensed school nurse, a licensed physician, or a licensed dentist which do not require the special skill, judgment and knowledge required in professional nursing. The RN/LPN Nurse participates in the assessment planning, implementation and assessment evaluation of nursing care in settings where nursing takes place. Additionally, assistance with maintaining health records, screening, and other services required by the district, Department of Education, and Department of Health.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Nursing License (RN preferred, or LPN) 2. BLS (CPR & AED) Certification
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full time 7.5 hours per day (includes a 30 minute paid lunch), 10-months $25.00 per hour. Salary, work schedule and the conditions of employment in accordance with current LEA salary schedule and applicable policies. After a 60-day probationary period, PTO includes 8 prorated sick days, 1 prorated personal day, and paid holidays including Thanksgiving Friday, and 1 floating holiday.

Brandywine Heights Area School District offers a competitive salary which will consider experience, education and certification according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
