Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' health and well-being at a vibrant elementary school for the 2026-2027 academic year. As an LPN, you'll play a key role in assisting the school nurse with daily health office functions, delivering compassionate care, and contributing to a positive learning environment. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule, with hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Desired Qualifications:
Current, active LPN/LVN license in good standing Experience working with school-aged children or in a school setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly and act with professionalism in urgent situations Reliable, compassionate, and collaborative
Key Responsibilities:
Support the school nurse in managing daily health office needs and general student care Administer first aid, medication, and treatments as prescribed Deliver substitute 1:1 care and support for students as needed, covering PCA absences (including backup care for a diabetic student under nurse supervision) Maintain accurate health records and adhere to privacy protocols Participate actively in school safety and health initiatives This role offers the satisfaction of making a lasting difference in students' lives, while enjoying a set weekday schedule and meaningful daily interactions.
